I love my Girls!

Halley is getting so big. I cant believe where the time has gone and how smart she is. Tonight has been so fun. Everything I have done for Ava, Halley wants. Ava wanted a snack after dinner, so I made her some eggs and toast. Halley climbed unto Ava's chair and started eating her food. So I made Halley some and she kept looking at the toast, then she held it up and yelled some mumbo jumbo at me. I realized she wanted jelly on her toast just like Ava's. So after the mess she made with the jelly, it was bath time. While in the bath Ava heard Phineas and Ferb and wanted to get out really fast so she could watch it, her favorite cartoon. So I get Ava's hair and body all washed and I am not even done before Halley is holding up her baby wash yelling at me, she even stands up, just like Ava, so I can wash her up. After the bath, I was combing Ava's hair out while she was sitting in her little chair. When Halley comes up to her, and pushes her out, takes her spot, and demands me to brush her hair. Which she loved and sat there for a good five minuets while I brushed what little hair she has. Halley was such a quiet baby, never really made a peep. Its really amazing to see how much she has changed. She has such a personality now and is really quite ornery. She loves to unfold folded clothes, and pull every pot and pan out of the cupboards. The funniest thing is that she will get into my drawers and put my tank tops around her neck and my sports bras, then puts a purse on her sholder and she just walks around the house like a miss queen bee. She has such a serious look on her face until she sees me smiling and laughing at her, then she breaks out in a cute little chuckle. Man, my baby is so adorable. I love her more and more everyday. She is so precious.

Ava surprises us everyday by what she knows and does. She talks like an adult and can carry on a good conversation. She struggles a bit with her numbers but can count to 30 or more on a good day. She can write every letter and is beginning to spell things. She can write my name, Dad's and Halley's. She loves to draw and paint. She is really quite brilliant, but I'm really starting to think she has ADD. I forget the statistic, but its pretty high for kids that were born premature, which she was. I constantly have to keep her entertained and busy or she is bouncing off the walls. She can not sit still, has trouble focusing. I think she is a little young to actually diagnose, as long as I keep her busy and give her lots of exercise we don't have complete disastrous days. Since we started swim lessons our days have been alot better. She is in the intermediate class already, so awesome. She is only 4 and can out swim 7 and 8 year olds. I just fixed up Victoria's old bike for her and she loves riding it all over too. Wish I had just a tenth of her energy, my house would always be clean, laundry always folded, dishes always done, and I would probably lose ten pounds fast. Ava can be alot to handle, but I feel so blessed that the good Lord gave her to me, not only to challenge my patience, but to truly open my heart and make me be the best person I can be. I love that little girl to pieces!

I agree with Jaycie! We need more play dates and nights out.I had a fun two weeks with you and the girls. I miss you all very much. When I was raising all you kids I never dreamed everyone would move so far away. I thought we were like the Waltons.(haha, you probably don't even know the show). I hold on to the dream that we will all live closer someday. I love you guys so much! I love your blog too. Keeps us connected.
