Memorial Day

Victoria and Brynli used to be best friends, but they dont get to see eachother very much anymore, so Monday was a special treat for them. First we met for lunch, then we took them to the grave yard, to see all the flowers and try to teach them about Memorial day. Ava was a little nervous as I was trying to explain what a grave was, I think she thought zombies were going to come get her, she watches to much scooby doo. After she saw how relaxed the other kids were, she just went with it. It was such a big grave yard we spent about an hour there. While we were there I tried to spend some time thinking about two special people who have passed, My own Grandpa and Kalabs sister Nasha. We miss them dearly! Its fun to think of the happy times and good memories, whichs helps the pain a little, but we dont ever stop missing them. So every once in a while its good to just take some time to feel close to them again.

Awesome weekend with Victoria!

First we picked Victoria up in Twin around 9 am then, we did a little shopping, cause Pocatello doesnt have Target or Old Navy. Old Navy was so crazy, they were having a dollar special for their flip flops, so we didnt even get anything there, the line to check out was probably about an hour! When we got home around 1, we got ready to go swimming at Gold's. We try to go every Saturday the girls just love it. I love Halley's little swim suit, she doesnt actually go in the water, she sleeps soundly in her carseat but as you can see shes already out growing it before she gets to use it, so its just for looks.

But when we got there, they told us a little kid had puked in the pool, so it was closed! The girls were pretty sad!

So we went to ISU hoping they would be open, they wernt either!

We came home and had some dinner, Meatloaf mashed potatoes and veggies! The girls love to help set the table! Victoria also lost her tooth, she has lost 7 teeth now. The tooth fair almost forgot to put money under her pillow and take her tooth, so its a good thing I woke up with Halley at 3 am and reminded him! Cause Victoria woke up at 7 in the morning, running into our room so excited, think about how sad she would have been to find nothing but her yucky tooth!

Then we put Curlers in there hair for Church! And they all looked so pretty! It rained all Day today so we didnt go much of anything, we played candyland a couple times and made some yummy chocolate cookies with peanutbutter chips! Then it was off to bed, for the girls and Dads working on his homework!

I love our girls so much! It is so much fun to make them pretty. I cant believe how beautiful and precious they are. Its so fun to see how thier Dad inteacts with them, he is already getting a little overprotective of them. Its fun to talk about what he is going to be like when they start dating, he doesnt like to talk about it. He has really had to make some adjustments getting used to girls. He grew up with all boys, he did have one sister, but she was much older and doesnt remember a whole lot of living with her. It has been awesome watching him accomodate to having such girly girls. He loves being their hero, saving them from bugs and monsters in the night. Fathers Day is coming up and I am trying to think of something awesome to honor him for everything he does. If ya have any ideas, let me know!

Pocatello Zoo!

Today we went to the Zoo, and Kalab said its by far the worst hes ever been to! I will have to agree with him. They had buffalo, cows and few big cats! It was fun to get out of the house and walk around thou, its about 85 degrees today. They had a little petting zoo, but I wont let Ava pet the animals, who knows what kind of germs they have. Good thing shes not old enough to read. They had a fun tree house with a big slide. While we were there Ava had to go potty and they only had port-a-potty's (GROSS)! I had Kalab take her, and she wouldn't go, good thing! I could hear her yell Yucky from outside, so it was funny to see her face when she got out of there! It was so warm that I took Halley's cute outfit off and let her cool off in her onesie, I love the look of white onesies thou, she is changing everyday, she doesnt really have her newborn look anymore. When Kalab was standing by the donkeys and He said hey which ones the jackass huh! At least he has a good sense of hummor about it! I love my hubby and he does so much for us. We had a really fun day, after the Zoo we came home and Kalab bbq hamburgers and cut up some delicous watermelon!

Weekend at Gramps!

We went to Idaho Falls this weekend to spend some time with Kalabs Dad and Stepmom! We had an awesome bbq with chicken, the best homeade baked beans, corn on the cob and yummy butterscotch oatmeal cookies. Its always fun to go there and hangout. This time we stayed the night and went to church. After church we went to walk around the Temple and see the beautiful Falls. Ava loves to play dress up while were there, and Halley likes to sleep!

Lovely Day!

Today has just been faboulous! Ava has actually been listening to me and helping me out. I was able to make an awesome dinner before Kalab got home, and send him a good lunch. I got the entire house clean, both girls got a bath. And when Kalab was on his way to work he sent me a text that said, you deserve to stay at home cause your so good at it! Thank You for being a good Mom and wife! So today is just one of those days where I feel on cloud nine, its truly rewarding to be a Mommy! Its hard for me sometimes cause Kalab goes to school in the morning then we get to spend a few hours together then he goes to work from 4 to midnight! So I am alone for most of the day. I am glad that every now and then it can just be a lovely day! Later Ava gets to have her friends come over, so thier Mom and Dad can go to a birthing class. They watched Ava for us, now its our turn to watch thier kids, they all have so much fun together, and its good for Ava to have some fun!

Mother's Day was Sweet!

I got up Sunday morning to my favorite doughnuts and orange juice, then off to church, then Ava sang a cute little song with the other primary children during sacrament. After church Kalab had a nice little surprise for us, he got a hotel room for us to stay the night in. It was a nice to get away for a day! As soon as I walked in There was a dozen roses a really sweet card and chocolates. We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub, and Halley slept like a little bug the whole time in her car seat while we were swimming!
I also got a cute card from my Sister in the mail, and my Mom sent a card and a cute little bag, that will be perfect for a diaper bag for Halley. Ava also colored a cute card in primary! Mother's Day is such a special day! Im glad that I can have a day where I dont feel bad for being pampered! I love being a Mom and I love my Mom and everything she has done for me. This was my Sister's first Mother's day as a mother, I hope she got to enjoy, she is such a good example and friend! Thank You Kalab, for making me feel special. I love you!

oh a Moms work is never done!

What a day today was! Ava is testing my patience to no end. I put her in the bath and then to bed. Its about an hour early, I dont want to yell at her tonight so its safer for her to be in bed! I was just changing Halley's diaper, (it was a big blowout) and when I was taking it to the trash, Ava runs up to tell me she put her sister in the swing, I had left her on the floor thinking she would be safe for 3 seconds. It was really cute that Ava was so excited that she had helped me, I am so glad that Halley wasn't hurt. We have talked and talked to Ava about leaving her sister alone, but shes only three and her curiosity and enthusiasm get the best of her! I washed and dried and put away all her clothes today just to find her drawers a mess and clothes all over her room. Its just been one of those days where I cant get ahead. I love Ava so much, and everyday I pray for the strength and patience so I can be a great Mom for her. All I can hope is that tomorrow is a better day! Today Kalab and I were talking about Sunday which is Mothers Day, he said he has something special planned and that he has a good present for me, needless to say I am really excited! Kalab isnt very good about hiding gifts and I always end up finding what he gets for me, I found my Christmas presnents, Valentines and my Birthday cake all a couple days early. So he said he hid it really good, and I am looking everywhere!

The Circus

Kalab and his favorite thing!
Thats my girls! Halley is in the sling, where she selpt the whole time!

Daddy and Ava coming back after they found out it was 8 bucks to ride the elephant, Ava didnt seem to upset that she didnt get to ride it thou, she may have been a little scared of it. It cost so much just to get in Daddy didnt want to spend anymore!

elephants doing some tricks!

You cant really tell but there is 4 dirt bikes in this cage going all around, it was crazy!

The Circus came to town for ONE DAY ONLY! So we thought it would be fun for Ava to go. Actually I didnt really want to cause it was so expensive,( $22 for adults and 15 for kids) but Kalab had never been to a Circus either, he really wanted to go. It was kinda fun thou. Ava really enjoyed the dancers, and acrobats, infact she says she wants to work at the Circus when she gets big. Ava liked seeing the big elephants, and little ponies. all in all it was a good night! The next time the circus comes to town thou, I dont think Kalab will mind missing it!
