Summer Time

I know I havent blogged in a couple weeks, but nothing really spectacular has happend, we havent really been doing anything fun. Our car has been in the shop, and they dont know whats wrong with it, which really stinks! Last Friday we went camping at a KOA camp ground. It was really kinda fun. We stayed in a sleeping cabin. It had two sets up bunk beds and a double bed. The girls loved playing and sleeping on the bunks. We cooked dinner on a fire and had smores right before bedtime! We wanted to wake up and make breakfast over a campfire, but it was raining so we decided that jack in the box was good enough. I forgot my camera thou, so I dont have any pictures of our first little camping trip this summer. We got Ava a little make up kit, and she enjoyed giving us a make over. We go to lunch at the park, and just hang out.

Halley has been growing so much. She is 3 months old now! She has just discovered the little toys above her head. It is so adorable. She has been smiling lots too, we all love her little coos. Halley is still just a content little baby. She makes being a Mommy so enjoyable.

Sunday was Father's Day. I hope Kalab had a nice day. He said he wanted my meatloaf with homade mashed potatoes, I asked him if he was sure thats what he wanted, he insisted, so thats what we had. Im glad I can make him happy. Victoria wanted to make cupcakes and Ava wanted cake so we made him both.

We rented bedtime stories and let the girls have a little slumber party last night. They slept in the living room with their little sleeping bags. Ava was sleeping with her eyes open, I thought that was a little creepy.

I sure hope our summer gets a little more interesting. So I will have more to blog about!

The Graduation

Its so weird that my little brother is out in the big big world now. When I left home, he was 11, and he thought NSYNC was cool. He was still shorter than me. He is so talented now its amazing how fast he grew up. He's a really cool kid! He will be going to the Art Instutite in Las Vegas. While we were there he took a couple pictures of us, he did such a good job! Next time instead of going to Sears, I think I should just have him take them instead of paying 200 bucks!

My Vegas Vacation

I left bright and early Monday morning and picked up Jaycie at the Salt Lake city airport. We did some running around in Salt Lake city and stayed in a hotel that night. We had fun in the hot tub and had pizza and a pasta bowl delivered to the room. We got some good sleep, and woke up just in time for the breakfast at the hotel. Then we Headed to my parents house in Overton Nevada. The trip was getting to be long. Then I saw something that I thought was pretty cool, an 80 mph speed limit sign. It just a trial test. We made a few stops, and eventually we got there around 4 in the afternoon. We hung out the rest of the night, chatting and catching up, and Grandma giving lots of hugs and kisses. Wednesday we went swimming in my parents pool and just relaxed. Thursday was the last day of school, it was a half day so we went into Vegas and took my sis in law, Ornella, out to lunch for her Birthday. We ate at the Rain Forest Cafe. It was fun I hadn't ever been there so it was an adventure. After we were done eating we were standing around talking and looking at the fake alligator, and it growled and opened its mouth and Ava screamed so loud, she was so scared she was shaking, thanks Aunt Jaycie, poor Ava! Then we went to the premium outlets and found some awesome deals. Ornella is almost 8 months pregnant, so she wasn't able to come with us shopping, she looks fabulous, and I enjoyed visiting and getting to know her better. She is from Italy, but living in Las Vegas.

On Friday we spent all day getting ready for the Graduation and doing Graduation stuff. Saturday we made another trip into Vegas. We wanted to do a little more shopping and take Josh out for a special Dinner at Olive Garden. We had a good day, beside getting lost a couple of times. We had a caravan of 3 cars, so it was a little tricky flowing each other.

Week of May 24-30

We were so busy this week! Monday was Memorial day, we went to Twin to take Victoria back. Tuesday Ava had a dentist appointment, she has one cavity in the back of her mouth and they had to fix the filling in her front tooth. She does so awesome, shes not scared of the dentist at all! Mostly cause we have a very good dentist!


Well on Wednesday Halley had her 2 month check up, but I woke up so sick, I had to call and cancel it. I had to call Kalab to come home and help me with the kids. I was sure it was strep throat. I have had it many times. By the end of the day I was feeling worse, so I had Kalab take me to the Doctor, I have been hearing alot about swine flu, so I was kinda scared. We they did a strep test and it came back negative. The dr. told me I probally had a bad cold. We came home and Kalab told me Your not supposed to go to the dr on the first day of being sick, your supposed to wait it out. So the next day I got up and just toughed it out, until the dr.'s office called back and said the culture turned out to be strep! When I knew that I was really sick, all I wanted to do was lay on the couch. It felt kinda good to rub it into Kalab, cause he thought I was just being a faker! So for Wednesday and Thursday, I stayed on the couch and just tried to get better. Friday was our 5 year Anniversary, we BBQ steaks and spent some time together before he had to leave for work. I got him a season of Cosby and a case of mnt dew. He sent me flowers that came from ups in a funny box. They were really pretty!



After he left for work Ava and I went to a Movie with some friends, then we had a primary activity. Saturday we spent most of the day with Dad. We had to get our oil changed and run some errands before I left for Vegas for the week. Sunday we went to church and spent all day packing. We tried to go to bed early cause we had to pick my sister up at the Salt Lake airport at 10 am, which means we had to get up to 6 to be ready! but Ava was so excited she couldnt sleep! I think we finally got her to bed at midnight!
